Senior Club Championship Fixtures 2008:
Third Fixture - July 31st 2008, 800m - Sketty Lane Track
Held in far from ideal conditions 8 athletes braved awful weather to take part. The heavy rain hampered everyones warm up preparations, but luckily it eased off for the race.
Chris Davies won in a fine 1.56.9 after a battle with Nev Johnson who finished in 1.58.3. Marc Hobbs finished third in 2.02.6. Helen Eve won the ladies race in a PB of 2.53.9.
Ellie Kirk still leads the ladies table after three fixtures, while Chris Parker has taken the lead in the mens table. Our thanks go to everyone who took part and to George Edwards for timekeeping and Lewys Hobbs and Sam Walsh for helping as track judges.

Club Championship Rules
Athletes will be allocated points determined by what position they finish in a race eg 1st - 20 points, 2nd - 19 pts etc. The athlete with the greatest amount of points at the end of the season is the winner. There are 10 fixtures and athletes can choose their best 8 races to count towards their points total. The event will only be open to Harriers who are fully paid up members of the Club. Any athlete who has not paid their 2008 subs by April 30th 2008 will lose any points they have gained and will not be eligible to gain any further points until they have paid their subs.

09.07.08 Welsh Schools Cup @ Brecon. The top two schools teams from each age group from the Afan Nedd Tawe Schools Cup match represent Afan Nedd Tawe.

Andrew Jenkins the Welsh Athletics Swansea and West Wales Club Development Officer is available to coach sessions for Primary and Comprehensive Schools at the University or schools.
