Results Round Up From Aintree, Brecon (Kenfig) & Pembrey

Saturday 16th November was the British & Irish Masters Cross Country International held at Aintree. Four Swansea Harriers had the honour of representing Wales with MM60 Ifan Lloyd placing 11th in his age group over 8,000m; and over the womens 6km MW35 Llinos Jones just missed a medal in 5th; MW40 Helen-Marie Davies was 9th and MM55 Sian Phillips was 24th. Saturday 16th November saw three championships incorporated into one - with the Welsh Inter Regional Championships, Welsh Colleges Championships and Welsh Inter Schools Championships being held at Brecon over a 10 race programme. The club was well represented despite the seniors/masters who had multiple race fixture clashes over the weekend to contend with, hopefully scheduling can be looked at more closely for all fixtures next year. Well done to all those who ran in some very soft underfoot conditions, our first three finishers in each age category were:

Sunday 17th November was round 2 of 5 in the West Glamorgan cross country league held at Kenfig Nature Reserve, at the time of posting results are unavailable.
Sunday 17th November was the Sospan 10 Mile Multi Terain race at Pembrey Country Park, over 600 runners finished the race which was won by our very own John Breslin (59.34), he was followed home by 64th Christopher Jones (1.18.58) and Simon Coombes (1.21.15).
