Results Round Up From Bristol, Lisbon Portugal, Cardiff, Telford, Loughborough & Boston USA

Saturday 7th December was round 3 of 5 in the Gwent Cross Country League at Blasie Castle, Bristol. Many thanks to all those who made the long journey to support the club. Despite the low turnout where we were only able to field four full teams, however there were still lots of great individual top 10 performances and several teams are still in podium places or very close to them. Our scoring four juniors and five seniors in each race were:

U11G: 3rd Libby Hale; 4th Chloe Hartley-Green; 28th Millie Pierce and 37th Jess Arnold. The team are doing brilliantly at the top of the league table.

U11B: 78th Jack Sullivan. The team are 15th in the league.

U13G: 14th Kaitlyn Jones; 17th Sophie Hartley-Green; 31st Ava Davies and 47th Natalie Coughlan. The team are 5th in the league.

U13B: 7th Oliver Patterson; 25th Steffan Higgins; 46th Ethan Jones. The team are 7th in the league.

U15G: No runners. The team are 18th in the league.

U15B: 12th Aled Tumelty; 35th Dafydd King and 53rd Ben Sullivan. The team are 4th in the league.

U17W: 11th Darcie Bass. The team are 6th in the league.

U17M: 23rd Iwan White. The team are 19th in the league.

U20W: No runners. The team are 5th in the league.

U20M: 3rd Nathan Jones. The team are 2nd in the league.

SW: 2nd Alaw Beynon-Thomas; 25th Abigayle Goodrick-Latham; 40th Gemma Seaman; 72nd Diane Brownhill and 104th Jennie Mcadie. The team are 2nd in division 1.

SM: 11th Conor Smith; 97th Patrick Tudor; 149th Thomas Guest; 190th Simon Brewer and 193rd Mike Gleeson. The team are in 2nd in division 2.

Sunday 8th December at the European Cross Country Championships in Lisbon Portugal saw our very own Kristian Jones help the Great Britain team win GOLD finishing in 22nd and 3rd Britain home over the very tough 10.2km course in (31.23), well done Kristian! Unfortunately U23W Cari Hughes was very unlucky not finish her race.

 

Sunday 8th December was the Cardiff Metropolitan University U20 & Seniors indoor athletics open meeting. There was a great turnout from the club with our overall top performer in each age group and event as follows:

SM: Rhys Samuel (7.67) 60m; David Migliorati N'Doua (37.94) 300m; Fynley Caudery (9.00) 60m Hurdles and Robin Wood (4.25m) Long Jump & (9.68m) Triple Jump.

SW: Katie-Jane Priest (8.03) 60m; Jodi Beynon (1.40.59) 600m; Helen-Marie Davies (10.59.53) 3000m; Jemima Osborn (18.24.69) 3000m Walk and Jessica Dunrod (2.81m) Pole Vault.

U20M: Naim Awal (7.64) 60m; Steffan Jones (36.02) 300m & (1.30.37) 600m; Ieuan Hosgood (4.41m) Pole Vault and Ryan Price (11.76m) Triple Jump.

U20W: Gabrielle Fakande (7.80) 60m; Amelia Hill (44.14) 300m; Macey Jones (10.63m) Triple Jump and Gwennan Lewis (10.38m) Shot.

Sunday 8th December was the Telford 10km where both 5th Joshua Griffiths (28.57) and 6th Jonathan Hopkins (29.01) set life time bests in a quality field, a our other runner was 20th Sophie Harris (35.29), well done all, click here for the full results.
