Results Round Up From Cardiff, Swansea & Elsewhere

Sunday 21st October was the Swansea Epic Trail multi terrain 10K in Penllegaer Valley Woods where over a very hilly challenging course our top 5 men home were; in 2nd for a place on the podium Daniel Otteson (40.32); having a great run to for a top 10 placing was 6th John Moran; 24th Andrew Brawn; 49th Simon Coombes and 57th Tom Bacon. No ladies ran as they were saving themselves for round 2 of the West Glamorgan Cross Country League which was unfortunately postponed. Click here for the full results.
 
Sunday 21st October were the Welsh Indoor Combined events national championships for the U13/14, U16 & U18 age categories at Cardiff. With junior training only recommencing 3 weeks ago the club entry was a little down overall on previous years due to the limited preparation time, nevertheless there were many fine performances from those club members present. The U16 & U18 athletes now have an anxious wait to see if they have done enough to impress the Welsh selectors for the British Schools International at Glasgow on Saturday 3rd November.
Our top 3 individual in each age group were:
U18M & U18W – unfortunately no competitors from the club.
U16M SILVER! Sam Petherbridge (2399 points); BRONZE! Charlie Holland (2107 points) and 6th Dylan Morgan (2032 points).
U16W just the one competitor 12th Emily Collins (1925 points).
U14B BRONZE! Harrison Garcia with a grand total of (1086 points); 6th Christian Stones (987 points) and 7th Macsen Holland (980 points).
U14G BRONZE! Chloe Simmonite (1991 points); 6th Sarah Lyons (1891 points) and 9th Katelyn Thomas (1817 points).
U13B 4th Oliver Philpott (531 points).
U13G A clean sweep of the podium places for GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE! Matilda Quick (1251 points); Zoe Strevens (1243 points) and Sophie Taylor (1111 points).
