Results Round Up From Cwmavon, Cardiff, USA & Neath

Sunday 3rd November was the Richard Burton 10km at Cwmavon, fortunately the weather was kind. Ten Swansea Harriers completed the race amongst the 1937 finishers. In the mens race there was a fine win for Jonathan Hopkins (30.35) who was followed home by 5th Guy Smith (32.38); 14th John Moran (35.33); 72nd Geoff Robinson (40.57); 220th Simon Coombes (45.44) and 224th Brian Stevendale (45.55).
In the womens race Ashleigh Willis had a great run too, gaining a podium place in 2nd (39.29), followed home by 5th Llinos Jones (41.48); 7th Sharon Leech (42.14); 9th Lutica Thomas (44.08) and 27th Nina Brocklebank (48.10). Very well done to them all, click here for the full results.
 
 
Sunday 3rd November was the joint Welsh Schools & Welsh Clubs Combined Events Indoor Championships held at Cardiff. It was great to see seventeen of our juniors having a go at the quadrathlon and pentathlon events.
The main highlight of the day was a GOLD medal winning performance for Dylan Morgan (2915 points) and BRONZE for Zac Davies (2774 points) both of whom were selected for Wales as a result of their efforts on the day, and now go forward to Glasgow on 30th November to compete against England, Ireland & Scotland, the very best of luck to them both. Making his combined events debut was Evan Cole who placed 11th with (2165 points).

U18M Pentathlon Carwyn Harry was our sole representative in 8th (1694 points).
U18W Pentathlon Emily Collins was on her own too with (2062 points) for 7th.
Disappointingly no U16G entered.
U14B Finn McIntyre was 13th (880 points) and Theo Oshisanya 20th (708 points).
U14G saw our largest turnout with ten taking part which was great to see! Our first four were 4th Matilda Quick (1822 points) and Welsh BRONZE! 11th Bethan Holley (1719 points), 20th Ruby Jones (1381 points) and 21st Liane Do Rouys (1377 points). Sunday 3rd November MM60 Ifan Lloyd ran (30.02.53) in the New York Marathon, USA, well done Ifan!
