Saturday 6th October were the National Mens 6 stage and Womens 4 stage Road Relay Championships held at Sutton Park, Birmingham where we were up against the very best road racing club teams in the UK. The fixture clashed with the Cardiff Half Marathon affecting availability of one or two key athletes, nevertheless our Senior teams still pulled some top notch performances out of the bag showing what great strength in depth we have. No medals were won this year, however our super 6 men placed a commendable 21st in (1.51.38), the team comprised of Marc Hobbs, Dominic Smith, Elliot Lawrence, Liam Lloyd, Matthew Harvey & Paul Tobin, Marc was our quickest runner in a time of (17.49) which was the 50th fastest individual time across all clubs. In the womens 4 stage the team put in an awesome performance to place 6th just 90 seconds away from medalling, the awesome foursome were Isobel Parry-Jones, Kate Roberts, Sian Edwards and Verity Ockenden, Verity was our quickest runner in a time of (14.47) the 13th fastest individual across all clubs.
Very well done to both teams, click here for the full mens and womens results.
