Friday 14th January saw Elinor Kirk  become the first Swansea Harrier of 2014 to break a Commonwealth Games A standard. Elinor had a magnificent run against some of the best USA athletes in Seattle, Washington, USA in the 5000m where she set a new personal best of (15.44.38) just getting under the A standard of (15.45.00), this gives Elinor a very strong case for selection to Glasgow as well as taking her to number 1 in the UK rankings to date and 5th on the Welsh All Time Welsh Performances.
