Hayley Tullett is the City of Swansea
Sportsperson of the Year for the
third time in five years. The announcement was made at the City of Swansea
sports awards dinner at the Brangwyn Hall last night.
The British international 1,500 metre runner was the
judges' choice after winning the European indoor title in Leipzig,
finishing second in the Europa Cup in June and winning the AAA title in July.
Since nominations closed, Tullett, who now lives in
Knaphill in Sussex,
has won a bronze medal in the world championships in Paris.

Senior Sportsperson: Hayley Tullet (athletics - Swansea
Harriers); Junior Male: Ricky Owen (Gwent Amateur Boxing Club); Junior
Female: Non Stanford (athletics - Swansea Harriers).
Senior Disabled sportsperson of the year: Neil Prior
(cricket - South Wales Dragons); Junior Disabled Sportsperson of the Year:
Daniel Bendle (soccer - Swansea Bravehearts). Senior Team: Pennard Golf Club
Ladies; Junior Team: Swansea
Gymnastic Club; School Team: Bishop Gore under-16 Netball Team. Coach of the
year: Gary Richards (soccer - Swansea Bravehearts).
