Satellite Clubs For Year 4 & Below.

Athletes must be in school year 5 and above to join Swansea Harriers. However there are a number of satellite clubs linked to us with partner organizations, that children can attend before progressing to the club. These sessions provide a grounding in fundamental running, jumping and throwing activities, making the transition to Swansea Harriers much smoother:

Round 1 of 3 U13 & U15 Youth Development League Midlands Premier South West Division @ Swansea Saturday 21st April

Round 1 of 3 in the U13 & U15 Youth Development League Midlands Premier South West Division is a home match on Saturday 21st April. In 2017 the team performed superbly progressing all the way to the UK Grand Final eventually placing as the 5th best team in the UK!

Round 1 of 3 U11 & U13 Triangular Series @ Llanelli on Wed 18/04

The first outdoor inter club fixture for any group is on Wednesday 18th April @ Llanelli, SA14 9UZ. The U11 & U13 teams are up against host club Llanelli, and Neath in round 1 of 3 in the triangular series.

Wednesday 14th March was the Swansea City Council annual sports awards held at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea Harriers were shortlisted in several categories, and won plenty of much deserved awards too.

2018/19 Annual Membership Fee Renewals Now Due

Every one of our 770 athletes and 150+ volunteers should of received their annual fixture card and membership renewal form in the post two weeks ago. To allow Christine our volunteer club secretary time to process all 900+ forms by 31st March, when everyones membership to the club and Welsh Athletics expires. Please return yours ASAP.

Back on Sunday 4th March was the England Masters Inter Area Match at Lee Valley, London where it was great to see 6 of our masters athletes selected for Wales.

Whilst the UK came to a grinding halt last weekend with almost all events canceled due to the weather forecast, The Swansea Harriers Annual Awards Evening was still held at The Village Hotel on Friday 2nd March, and was well attended in spite of the adverse weather conditions.Congratulations to all Club record and Gold Award winners as well as the main award winners:

Tuesday 20th February saw one of the magnificent seven Dai Greene win a 400m Hurdles race in Potchefstroom, SOUTH AFRICA in a fantastic time of (50.08) just another .5 to go to hit the Commonwealth Games A standard.

Swansea Harriers Whitford Point Multi Terrain Race Entries Now Open

Entries are now open for the Swansea Harriers Whitford Point Multi Terrain race which is being held on Wednesday 25th April at 7pm, this is a month earlier than normal due to tide tables.
