Results Round Up From Swansea, Neath, Cardiff & Elsewhere

Thursday 10th May was the Paul Popham 5K series at Swansea where there was another great turnout of 15 runners. Our first five men and women home were:
Men: 5th Craig Jones (17.35); 6th Daniel Newton (17.50); 10th Ryan Govier all having strong runs to break into the top 10, they were followed across the line by 13th Daniel Otteson (19.03) and 20th Joe Tucker (18.38).

The magnificent seven are now the fantastic five after the unfortunate withdrawals due to injury of Dewi Griffiths & David Greene. Nevertheless we are still very excited to see how our remaining five superstars get on and wish them the very best of luck. This is when you can watch them live:

Satellite Clubs For Year 4 & Below.

Athletes must be in school year 5 and above to join Swansea Harriers. However there are a number of satellite clubs linked to us with partner organizations, that children can attend before progressing to the club. These sessions provide a grounding in fundamental running, jumping and throwing activities, making the transition to Swansea Harriers much smoother:

Wednesday 14th March was the Swansea City Council annual sports awards held at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea Harriers were shortlisted in several categories, and won plenty of much deserved awards too.
Very many congratulations too:
Dewi Griffiths – Sportsperson of the year – winner!
