Weekly Update Sunday 9th August

Thank you for everyone’s cooperation last week, it was a successful phased trial opening for the university outdoor track, and it was great to see so many athletes & coaches back on track. We did not have a single member turn up without having pre booked with their coach.
For phase two, from Monday 10th August, coaching ratios will increase to 3 athletes to each UKA qualified coach, during both the 5pm and 6.30pm time slots. The covid plan remains unchanged, this plan MUST be read in full before any athletes recommence training SWANSEA HARRIES FINAL COVID PLAN AT 29.07.20
Until track capacity increases from the current 30, so that the club can try to cater for as many of our existing club members, both the 5pm and 6.30pm sessions continue to remain restricted to paid up Swansea Harriers club members only.
For non club members, self coached athletes and the public Swansea University have now made additional sessions available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.45pm and Saturdays from 9.30am for the remainder of August. If you wish to utilise these time slots you will need to book in advance directly with Swansea University at [email protected] you will also need to provide all coaches & athletes names, emergency contact mobile and emails for track and trace.
Annual Membership: All athletes being coached on or off track should have renewed their annual subs please, as per the covid plan and for their personal insurance. 2020-2021 Membership Application for New Members & Renewals

Welsh Athletics advertised four track & field pilot events for August, all of which sold out within a few hours! The very best of luck to all those Swansea Harriers who were quick enough to enter!
