Results round up including plenty of medal winning performances from Aberdare, Neath U13 West Wales Championships, Charnwood & Cardiff Welsh U15 & Senior Championships and not one, not two but three new all time club records!
Tuesday 10th August was the Cardiff Throws meeting at Aberdare where the following performances were recorded: U20M Oscar Dun 11.98m Shot; U20W Cassey Grimwade 46.45m Hammer; U20W Lara Spacey 36.23m Hammer; U17M George Snaith 45.90m Javelin and U17W Chloe Jones 37.07m Javelin, well done everyone!
Wednesday 11th August was the West Wales U13 Championships held at a very wet Neath, there was a great turnout from the club with plenty of medals won and a great experience too for those brand new to athletics competition. Our thanks goes to all the volunteers who made the event possible. Here is how they all got on:

Wednesday 11th August at the Charnwood Open Meeting in Loughborough U17W Tiffany Rees set times of 2.24.36 in the 800m & 44.74 300m and SM Nathan Phillips 2.10.64 for 800m, well done both!
Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th August were the Welsh U15 & Senior Championships held at Cardiff in a great event there were many great performances, welsh eligibility medals won, personal bests and another three all time club records! Congratulations to all those who represented the club, here are your medallists, several of whom were competing out of age group against the seniors;
11 GOLD: SM Joseph Brier 20.92 200m; U15G Matilda Quick 1.59m High Jump & 10.86m Shot; SM Ryan Price 12.41m Triple Jump; SW Caryl Granville 62.59 400m Hurdles & 13.45 100m Hurdles her 13.45 beats her own all time club record of 13.48 from 2017, congratulations Caryl!!; U15B Connor Moriarty 1.58m High Jump; U15B Lewie Jones 50.04m Javelin; SW Carys Jones 3.55m Pole Vault; U15G Amy Beynon 2.90m Pole Vault; SM Aled Price 6.54m Long Jump and SW Hannah Brier 11.44 100m.
10 SILVER: SM William Trott 4.63m Pole Vault which broke his own all time club record for U17 even though he was competing as an SM, well done William!!; SM Dylan Morgan 12.36m Triple Jump; SW Jamie Holland 11.66m Shot; SW Jodi Beynon 1.57m High Jump; SM Aled Price 17.29 110m Hurdles & 48.76m Javelin; U15B Lewie Jones 12.75m Shot; Lauryn Davey 39.19m Javelin; U15G Seren Anderson-James 2.00m Pole Vault and U15G Carys Morgan 9.26m Shot.
10 BRONZE: SM Lemarl Freckleton 21.43 200m; U15G Nele Owen 16.97m Hammer; U15G Matilda Quick 12.1 75m Hurdles; U15G Bethan Holley 4.44m Long Jump; SM Owain Clarke 59.11 400m Hurdles; U15B Theo Oshisanya 2.30m Pole Vault; SW Gwennan Lewis 10.88m Shot; SW Millie Carter 3.35m Pole Vault; SW Lauryn Davey 5.86m Long Jump and U15B Nathaniel Osborne 10.68m Shot.
In addition Daniel Beadsley ran 2nd leg for an invitational Wales team in the 4 x 100m V England V Scotland helping the team to an impressive 39.43 and our all time club record came from U17M Dylan Morgan who was competing against the seniors in the 200m where he recorded a time of 22.16 to break the old record from 1985! Well done Dylan! A seniors triathlon was also incorporated into the championships with both won by Swansea Harriers Aled Price & Lauryn Davey, congratulations both!
