Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for your from Conwy, Boulogne-Billancourt France, Florence Italy, Cardiff x 2, Bristol & Valencia Spain.
Sunday 19th November Sam Joseph runs a 77.49 in the Conwy Half Marathon placing a great 6th overall, also Charles Walsh comes home in a time of 81.44, Emily Wells sets a PB of 1,45,15 and Caitlin Atkins a PB of 2.05.17, well done everyone!
Sunday 26th November Jamie Taylor-Caldwell runs a PB in the Boulogne-Billancourt France Half Marathon coming home in 71.36 well done Jamie!
Sunday 26th November in Florence Italy Charles Walsh runs a 2.49.16 PB for the Marathon with Daniel Morgan also setting a PB of 2.50.11 and Sarah Worley finishes in 3.33.40, well done all!
Saturday 2nd December saw the British Schools Combined Events Pentathlon International at Cardiff for the U16 & U18 age groups. We had just the one athlete selected for Welsh Schools this year U18W Matilda Quick who performed magnificently to place 5th out of the 16 athletes amassing 3538 points courtesy of a 9.02 60m Hurdles, 12.01m Shot, 5.37m Long Jump, 1.62m High Jump & 2.42.16 800m, well done Matilda!
Saturday 2nd December was round 3 of 5 in the John Collins Gwent Cross Country League held at Baltic Blaise Castle, Bristol. They say cross country is character building and so it proved in bitingly cold conditions of minus two degrees all day! All team managers especially those of the juniors said how proud they were of all their runners getting to the finish line in such tough conditions. Very well done and thank you to all of our runners:
U11B 24th Jenson Achilleos & 96th Todd Purton, the team now lie in 8th in the league.
U11G Molly-Mae McQueen had a superb run for 3rd, followed home by 8th Poppy Brannigan, 31st Freya Cleverley & 50th Tabitha Purton, the team are now 3rd in the league.
U13B 18th Isaac Mcadie & 38th Bo Cuthbertson, the team are 8th in the league.
U13G 14th Lyla Jonsson, 26th Gwennan Grufydd, 31st Darcy Gibbon, 34th Aimee Besley & 54th Hannah Sullivan.
U15B 18th Osian Morgan, the team are now 11th in the league.
U15G two of runners did brilliantly to step onto the podium with 2nd Holly Humphreys and 3rd Millie Pierce, followed home by 6th Chloe Hartley-Green, 27th Ruby Mills & 38th Imogen Mcadie. The team are top of the league!!!!!!!!!

Senior Men first home in 70th was Andrew Cleverely, 82nd Patrick Tudor, 189th Owen Davies, 237th Gair Mcadie, 246th Ben Smith, 348th Simon Merrick and the team are now 6th in Division 1.
Senior Women first home in 42nd Darcie Bass, 64th Kristy Smith, 82nd Megan Clements, 118th Diane Brownhill, 174th Jenny Mcadie, 186th Sian Phillips, 203rd Angela Delaney and the team are now 4th in Division 1.

Sunday 3rd December was the Welsh Athletics U13, U15 & U17 Indoor Athletics Open Meeting incorporating the West Wales 200m & 300m Championships at Cardiff. Only 20 of our juniors were there and we will be looking for a lot more representing the club in the remaining fixtures this winter. What we lacked in quantity we more than made up for in quality with plenty of personal bests set and lots of medals won too. Our top performer in each age group and event, plus any West Wales medallists were as follows;

Sunday 3rd December was the Valencia Marathon in Spain where M35 Geraint Williams comes home in a lifetime best of 2.30.39 and SW Hannah Munday in a lifetime best too of 3.10.18, congratulations both!
