Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Glasgow, Pembrey & Cardiff.
Saturday 11th January was the British Cross Challenge at Glasgow where U20W Hannah Kinane had a fantastic run against a top quality field to place 4th, well done Hannah!
Saturday 25th January was the 120th Welsh Clubs Cross Country Championships at Pembrey Country Park. It was great to see another big turnout from the club. Thank you to all our team managers who did a great job rounding everyone up and taking the time to make all the declarations. U11 Girls: individually there were two awesome runs with, GOLD Molly-Mae Mqueen and BRONZE Ruby Harvey-Flinn, Team wise athletes were running for their schools, but Swansea Harriers still came away with the team GOLD as all three scorers from Penclawdd Primary School are in Swansea Harriers, well done to 12th Sienna Wooliscroft, 32nd Rose Evans & 45th Alys Edwards on their success.

U11 Boys: was an incomplete team with Max Rankin our only runner coming home in 45th.
U13 Girls: won team BRONZE with the scoring four of 10th Zoe Thompson, 15th Rosie Jones, 17th Gwennan Gruffydd & 23rd Emily Evans-Williams.
U13 Boys: with 4 to score for team finished in BRONZE medal position, with SILVER to Oliver Cobbold, 10th Isaac Mcadie, 20th Tomos Pugh & 21st Lucas Gibbs.

U15 Girls: with 4 to score placed 4th with the quartet of 19th Lyla Jonsson, 25th Darcy Gibbon, 29th Hannah Sullivan and 31st Aimee Besley.
U15 Boys: was an incomplete team with 6th Osian Morgan.

U17/U20 Women: did an incredible double coming away with team GOLD & SILVER, with 3 to score for each team. A Team Libby Hale had a fantastic run for individual & U17W GOLD, 3rd Millie Gold & individual U17W BRONZE, 5th Millie Pierce. B Team 6th Holly Humphreys, 7th Sioned John & 12th Hollie Lewis & individual U20W SILVER.

U17 Men: came away with a team BRONZE with the quartet of 13th Jack Sullivan, 20th Evan Price, 21st Aaron Nathan & 29th Daniel May.
U20 Men: No runners.
The Seniors & Masters scoring gets very confusing with everyone in one race running for the senior team, with different size teams to score for Men & Women. Masters can also run within their own age group individually and in teams of 3, or an age group below, clear as mud? Hopefully we are close to getting it right for you:
Senior Women: won team SILVER with the quartet of Gemma Tutton & Individual BRONZE, 27th Kristy Smith, 28th Maria Kowal & 30th Iona Evans.
Senior Men: came away with team SILVER with the scoring six of Dewi Griffiths who had a fantastic run for individual GOLD in his 9th victory in the Welsh Championships, followed home by 5th Josh Griffiths, 12th Edward Davies, 19th Ben Mitchell, 28th Jamie Taylor-Caldwell & 32nd William Ralston.

Masters Men 35-39: came away with team GOLD with the scoring 3 of Daniel Morgan, Patrick Tudor & Craig Jones.
Masters Women 40-45: won team GOLD with the trio of Maria Kowal, Helen-Marie Davies & Lois Woodward.
Masters Men 55-59: came away with team SILVER with the scoring trio of Paul Flynn & M55 individual SILVER, Geoff Robinson & Heath Brett.
Masters Men 60-65: came away with team GOLD with the trio of Martyn Hughes-Dowdle & M60 individual BRONZE, Paul Llewellyn & Peter Osborne.
Masters Men 65+ team GOLD with the trio of Ifan Lloyd & M65 Individual GOLD, 2nd Alan Davies & M70 Individual GOLD, 6th Richard Jones.

Sunday 26th January was the Cardiff Metropolitan University Indoor Athletics Grand Prix. Eniola Adedotun was our falsest over 60m with 6.86 followed by William Hawker 7.01, in the Women Victoria Ovie 8.54 then Luisa Von Schnitzler 8.93. In the 200m Men William Hawker 22.57 & Marek Warzocha 22.77, in the Women’s 200m Victoria Ovie was our only runner with 28.94. Mens Long Jump Jacob Edghill 6.59m.
