Results Round Up

This week Swansea Harriers have been on tour all over Europe and we have results to round up for you from Kosice Slovakia, Swansea x 2, Donovaly Slovakia, Regensburg Germany, Malta, Nivelles Belgium, Vienna Austria, Birmingham and Barry Island! Plus yet another all time record for Millie Gold!

Tuesday 10th June Jacob Edghill jumps out to 6.45m in the Long Jump in Kosice, Slovakia, well done Jacob!

Wednesday 11th May was the 2nd Swansea Bay 5km series, where in warm conditions out top 5 Men and Women home were as follows: Men: 2nd Joshua Morgan 16.28, 3rd Christian Lovatt 16.31, 4th Oliver Cobbold 16.32 and 5th Finley Hines 16.42. Women: saw a comfortable win for Sioned Howells in 18.23, then 4th Chloe Hartley-Green 20.25, 7th Lyla Jonsson 20.43, 8th Zoe Thompson 20.44 and 9th Millie Thorne 20.46. Well done everyone!

Saturday 14th June U18W Millie Pierce was representing Wales in the World Mountain Running International at Donovaly, Slovakia. Held over a 5.2km course Millie finished 39th in 42.12 and helped the Wales team to 9th against teams from the USA and all over Europe, many congratulations Millie, click here for the full results.

Saturday 14th June SM Joseph Brier runs 46.55 over 400m and Hannah Brier 52.53 in Regensburg, Germany, well done both!

Saturday 14th June U23M William Hawker runs a lifetime best of 21.99 over 200m in the Malta International, well done William!

Saturday 14th June MW35 Caryl Moore runs a 59.14 for 400m Hurdles in Nivelles, Belgium, well done Caryl!

Saturday 14th June Verity Ockenden runs a super fast 15.10.35  and Morgan James runs a 15.45.73 for 5000m on track in Vienna Austria, well done both!

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th June was the University of Birmingham Track & Field Festival incorporating the UK 10,000m Championships where U23M Dafydd Jones had a great run to cross the line in 11th place overall with a fast time of 29.18.60 and in the Men’s High Jump Sam Davies had a best of2.000 to pace 13rf well done both!

The weekend of Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th June was the Welsh U13, U15 & U20 Junior Championships held at home in Swansea, where we had another massive turnout from our juniors, well done to all those who took part and to all our medallists listed below for you:

Sunday 15th June was the Barry 10km ran in windy conditions where we had four runners. M35 Jonathan Butler has a superb run to finish 2nd in  31.39, just missing out on a podium place was 4th Matthew Verran in 32.32. In the Women’s race Kate Roberts had a great run for 6th in 38.20 and Megan Williams in 9th in 39.10, well done all!
