Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Carmarthen, Watford, Stratford and Ammanford, including yet another all time club record with a European U20 Championships qualifying performance.

Saturday 12th July was the Welsh Inter Regional U15 U17 & U20/Senior Championships at Carmarthen for North V East V South V West Wales. In very, very hot conditions most of Swansea Harriers were representing the West region who won all three sections on the day. Individual highlights included event wins for U15B Roman Jackson 32.06m Discus, U17W Ellie Dunleavy 3.06m Pole Vault, U20W Rebekah Pratt 2.36m Pole Vault & 27.35m Javelin, SM Evan Cole 15.76 110m Hurdles, SM Aled Price 37.79m Discus & 12.14m Shot, SM Marek Warzocha 22.77 200m, U15B Cynan King 32.50m Javelin, U17M Alfie Philpott 3.15m Pole Vault, U20M Oliver Philpott 3.55m Pole Vault and U20W Mai Davies 5.19.68 1500m. Saturday 12th July at the BMC Grand Prix in Watford U23W Darcie Bass set a 1500m personal best with a 4.31.01 for 1500m, SM Edward Davies ran a 1.53.05 for 800m, SM Brychan Price-Davies set a personal best in the 3000m Steeplechase with a 9.30.29 but the main highlight of the day was U20W Millie Gold not only again broke her club record for the 3000m Steeplechase with a 10.26.96 but as a massive bonus she also set a European U20 Championships qualifying time in the process, well done all, especially Millie!

Sunday 13th July at the Stratford Speed Grand Prix in London, U23M William Hawker runs 10.85 for 100m and Femi Akinbobola runs 22.88 over 200m, well done both!

Sunday 13th July was the Ammanford 10km where on another very hot day over an undulating course, we saw a win for Dewi Griffiths crossing the line in 30.37, joining him on the podium was 2nd Joshua Morgan who also had a great run in 34.29, following them home was 12th Alan Davies 39.07, 17th Daniel Morgan 40.34 and 27th Paul Llewellyn making our top 5 Men home. In the Women Sioned Howells made it a doble for the club coming home in 38.25, also on the podium in 3rd was Luticia Thomas 43.04 and following them home was 15th Vanessa Harrigan 49.49, well done all!
