Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Exeter, Norrkoping, Sweden, Cross Keys, Chamonix France, Manchester, Cardiff, Kingston & Aberavon, including yet another all time club record!
Tuesday 26th August U23W Darcie Bass runs a 4.33.17 for 1500m in Exeter, well done Darcie!
Friday 29th August U20W Hannah Kinane broke her own all time club record for 800m with an amazing time of 2.04.58 in Norrkoping, Sweden, very many congratulations Hannah! Hannah recently represented Sweden in the European U20 Championships too, so is having a great season!
Friday 29th August was the Murder Mile race at Cross Keys, the race is all uphill on a steep incline hence the title! In the Men’s race first home was Dayfdd Jay in 8.39 stepping onto the podium for 3rd, followed home by 5th & 1st Junior Oliver Cobbold 9.10, 18th Isaac Mcadie 10.41 and 21st Felix Davies 10.48. In the Women’s race we had just one runner in Sharon Leech who crossed the line in 8th 12.01. Well done all!
Saturday 28th August Kristian Jones finished fifth in the Orsières-Champex-Chamonix (OCC) trail running race at Chamonix in France, where he completed the 61km course, which had an elevation of 3,400m, in 5:05.50, well done Kris that was amazing!
Saturday 30th August was the Manchester International where in the Para Ambulant 100m SM James Ledger crossed the line in 2nd with a wind assisted time of 11.58, well done James!
Saturday 30th August was the Home Nations 5km International & Open Races at Cardiff. The event is held over a number of different races and then everyone’s results compiled together to form the full results. In the Men’s races, our fastest five were 15th Dewi Griffiths in a super fast 14.17 this was despite being accidently tripped and falling! Representing Wales was 32nd Jonathan Butler 14.34, in this race over 30 athletes ran under 14.30! 80th Dominic Smith 15.14, 120th Joshua Morgan 15.39 and 125th Matthew Verran 15.44. In the Women’s race we had two runners 73rd Chloe Hartley-Green 20.37 and 75th Sophie Hartley-Green 20.43. Very well done to all those who ran in some high quality fields. Monday 31st August U15G Lyla Jonsson runs a 2.25.32 for 800m in Kingston, well done Lyla!
Wednesday 3rd September was the Run4All 5k Summer Series Race 3 of 3 at Aberavon where we had 4 junior men and 1 senior woman running. First home in 4th was U15B Oliver Cobbold 16.44, followed by 17th Isaac Mcadie 18.53, 30th U13B Tomi Jones 20.29 and 31st Felix Davies 20.40. SW Catrin Davies was 6th in 20.53, well done all on such a great set of results.
