Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Swansea, Tredegar and Berlin Germany.

Tuesday 16th September was the Afan Nedd Tawe Secondary Schools & Colleges cross country development races held at the Elba, Gowerton. There was a massive turnout of 678 pupils, who ran on the flat fast course in sunny weather. Our top three club runners home in each race were:

Year 7 & 8 Girls: 1st Mollie Mae-Mqueen (Dylan Thomas), 3rd Ruby Harvey-Flynn (Bishopston) and 6th Matilda Warchal (Bishopston).

Year 7 & 8 Boys: 2nd Tomi Jones (Gwyr), 5th Thomas Morgan (Gwyr) and 18th Ethan Gavin (Gwyr).

Year 9 & 10 Girls: 1st Lyla Jonsson (Bishopston), 4th Zoe Thompson (Olchfa) and 5th Aisha Keough (Bishopston).

Year 9 & 10 Boys: 1st Jack Griffiths (Olchfa), 2nd Oliver Cobbold (Bishopston) and 4th Isaac Mcadie (Gwyr).

Year 11 to 14 Girls: 1st Holly Humphreys (Gwyr), 2nd Gwennan Griffiths (Gwyr) and 4th Tabitha Ventress-Brett (Olchfa).

Year 11 to 14 Boys: 3rd Deri Jones (Gwyr), 5th Declan De Vugult (Bryn Tawe) and 42nd Mandikuzda Mupita (Bishop Gore).

Saturday 20th September were the Welsh U13, U15 & U17 Road Relay Championships at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar. The weather was awful all day with non stop rain! Nevertheless our juniors are a hardy bunch and here’s how our A teams got on in their teams of three:

U13B were 7th with Sam Payne, Max Hobson and Jacka O’Callaghan.

U13G were 7th with Emily-Evans Williams, Sofia Morgan and Olive Knutson-Watson.

U15B won SILVER with Oliver Cobbold, Isaac Mcadie and Jack Griffiths.

U15G had the best result of the day with team GOLD courtesy of Isabelle Lawley, Zoe Thompson & Lyla Jonsson.

U17M won SILVER with Osian Morgan, Evan Price and Jack Sullivan.

U17W won SILVER with Millie Pierce, Sienna Hurley and Holly Humphreys,

Sunday 21st September was the Berlin, Germany Marathon where M35 Matthew Rees 2.35.26 and W50 Julie Hartley-Green ran a 3.49.52, well done both!
