Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Liverpool, Lee Valley, Wilmslow and Newtown.
Saturday 22nd November was round 2 of 4 in the British Cross Challenge Series at Liverpool. The event incorporated the 2025 European Cross Country Championship Trials for the U20 Men and Women, U23 Men and Women and Senior Men and Women. It was great to see eight Swansea Harriers make the journey to test themselves against the very best cross country runners in the UK. U13B Tomi Jones placed 17th in his race. U15B Oliver Cobbold came home in 15th. U15G Isabelle Lawley was 33rd. U17W Libby Hale was 52nd. U20W Millie Gold 29th. U17M Osian Morgan 81st. SW Verity Ockenden was the main highlight of the day having a great run for 6th and U23M Dayfydd Jones in 18th. Very well done all!
Sunday 23rd November SW Charlotte Campion runs a 8.56 PB for 60m indoors at Lee Valley, London backed up by 4.85m Long Jump, well done Charlotte!
Sunday 23rd November SW Elinor Vernon runs a 36.14 for 10km at Wilmslow placing 6th in a very talented field of runners, well done Elinor!
Saturday 30th November at Newtown was the Welsh Inter Regional Cross Country Championships. Runners were representing their regional teams, primarily West Wales in our case. In damp conditions that were heavy underfoot we saw U11G Molly Shelmerdine place an excellent SILVER in the open race. In the main Championship races we saw the following selected for their regions:
- U13G 4th Molly Mae-Mqueen, 14th Emily Evans-Williams, 17th Ruby Harvey-Flinn, 37th Poppy Brannigan and 46th Sofia Morgan.
- U13B 7th Tomi Jones.
- U15G 4th Isabelle Lawley, 17th Zoe Thompson, 21st Aisha Keough, 26th Gwenan Grufydd, 32nd Gwenna Rees and 35th Rosie Jones.
- U15B Oliver Cobbold had a great run for 3rd and individual BRONZE, 4th Jack Griffiths just behind, 22nd Thomas Evans-Williams, 29th Isaac Mcadie, 38th Felix Davies and 41st Lucas Gibbs.
- U17W 4th Millie Pierce and 20th Imogen Mcadie,
- U17M 34th Harvey Southam.
- U20W No runners.
- U20M 26th Oskar Radka.
- Senior Women No runners.
- Senior Men 4th Ed Slaughter, 6th Morgan James and 11th Brychan Price-Davies.
- Masters Women 35+ No runners.
- Masters Men 35+ 12th Daniel Morgan.
- Masters Women 45+ 12th Felicity Jones.
- Masters Men 45+ No runners.
- Master Women 55+ 7th Angela Delaney and 11th Caroline Morgan.
- Masters Men 55+ 16th Heath Brett.
- Masters Women 65+ 7th Sue Peters.
- Masters Men 65+ saw a great win and GOLD for Ifan Lloyd.
