Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Tallahassee, Florida, USA, Cardiff and Valencia Spain.
Saturday 10th January was the 46th World Cross Country Championships at Tallahassee, Florida, USA. Where Verity Ockenden picked up yet another Great Britain & Northern Ireland vest this winter to add to her ever growing collection. Verity had a great race against the very best cross country runners in the world to place 41st and help the team to a 7th place finish, congratulations Verity! After a significant injury earlier in the year Verity has made a remarkable return to international athletics when she also finished 3rd scorer for the GB & NI team helping the team to a silver medal back in the European Cross-Country Championships at Lagoa Portugal back on 14th December 2025.
Sunday 11th January was the Welsh Athletics Indoor Athletics U13 U15 & U17 Junior Open Meeting at Cardiff incorporating the West Wales 800m & 1500m Championships. It was fantastic to see such a large turnout of juniors from the club, some of whom were getting their first ever experience of indoor athletics. Lots of personal and seasons bests were set and highlights included our overall top performer in each age group and event, as well as any West Wales medallists listed below:

Sunday 11th January at the Valencia, Spain 10km on a very fast course with world class opposition Morgan James runs 30.56 gor 380th and Millie Fakande a 41.49 lifetime best, congratulations both.
