Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Bedford, Stretford, Swansea, Aberdare, Tonypandy, Lee Valley, Loughborough & Birmingham.

Sunday 7th June U23M Freddie Steele runs a 10.67 for the 100m at Bedford, well done Freddie!

Monday 9th June SM Connor Rogers runs a 4.07.87 for 1500m at Stretford, well done Connor!

Wednesday 10th June was race 2 of 3 in the Swansea Bay 5km series. Our top five runners home were, In the Men: first home for the club was 4th Sam Joseph 17.20, followed by 5th Craig Jones 17.35, 6th Dylan Strawbridge 18.01, 33rd Martin Kearns 21.46 and 40th Heath Brett 22.14. In the Women first home for the club was 7th Isobel Dawson in 22.01, followed by 10th Sophie Beresford 23.35, 11th Nina Brocklebank 23.34, 13th Rosie Jones 24.19 and 16th Hannah Sullivan 24.41. Saturday 13th June was the U14 U16 & U18 Welsh Inter Regional Championships at Aberdare. Athletes are selected for either North, East, South or West Wales based on residency or birth. Many Swansea Harriers were in action, the vast majority of whom were representing the West region. Congratulations to all those selected and specifically to our top 3 individuals in the following events:

Saturday 13th June was the Tonypandy Track Endurance Classic incorporating the Welsh Senior 5000m Championship & the U16 & U20 3000m Championships & The Masters 3000m International. Highlights included our overall top performer in each age group and event, plus any medallists as follows:

Saturday 13th June at Lee Valley, London, new club signing Lewis Stephens runs a 10.62 for 100m, well done Lewis!

Saturday 13th June at the British Milers Club Loughborough Grand Prix SM Brychan Price Davies ran a 1.56.91 for 800m, SW Darcie Bass a 4.30.12 lifetime best for 1500m and U18W Libby Hale a 4.35.58 for 1500m, well done all!

Sunday 14th June SW Lauryn Davey jumps out to a best of 5.61m in the Long Jump at Birmingham, well done Lauryn!
