This week we have results to round up for you from Cardiff & Yate.
Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th July was the Welsh Senior & U18 Championships incorporating British Trials for European U18 Championships at Cardiff. Fortunately the temperature dropped after the midweek heatwave, and it was great to see so many athletes from the club taking part. Individual highlights included a 33 medal winning haul courtesy of performances from:

Sunday 28th June was the Welsh Masters Championships incorporated into the Yate Open Meeting. The magnificent seven made the trip across to Yate coming home with an equally magnificent medal haul. For those of you unfamiliar with Masters Track & Field age groups go up in five year increments starting at 35 years old.
W40 Bethan Froome set three lifetime bests of 30.39 200m & Welsh BRONZE, 68.90 400m & Welsh GOLD & 2.37.73 800m & Welsh SILVER, M35 Daniel Williams High Jump came away with a GOLD with a 1.70m, W75 Daphne Marler won Triple Jump GOLD with a best of 3.51m, M80 Ian Bowles came home with 4 Welsh GOLD medals in the Hammer 24.41m, Javelin 14.00m, Shot 8.06m, Discus 23.43m, W45 Isobel Dawson ran a 5.53.07 in the 1500m taking Welsh GOLD, M40 Oladele Bamisaye took Welsh SILVER with a 11.72 100m, M65 Roderick Davies took Welsh GOLD in the 100m with 15.29 & again in the Long Jump with a 3.57m.
