Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from, Oordegem Belgium, Llanelli, Yate, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Loughborough and Oregon USA.

Saturday 1st August SW Hannah Brier runs a 23.84 for 200m and a 53.32 400m and her brother Joseph Brier a 46.89 400m in  Oordegem, Belgium, well done both!

Sunday 2nd August was the Llanelli 5 & 10 Mile Multi Terrain races at Pembrey Country Park. Siobhan Mcnair was 7th in 1.16.01 and Emily Smith placed 8th in the Women’s 5 Mile with a time of 1.17.50 well done both!

Sunday 2nd August saw three Swansea Harriers Masters selected to represent Welsh Masters in the England Masters Athletics Association Outdoors Inter-Area Track & Field Challenge at Yate. W40 Bethan Froome placed 5th in the 400m with a 1.07.19, M70 Chris Pruski ws 3rd in the Shot with 8.44m and M60 Glyn Price was 6th in the High Jump with 1.35m and 3rd in the Pole Vault with 3.30m. Well done all on such a great set of results.

Tuesday 4th August U14B Tomi Jones runs a 1.01.91 for 400m at the Leamington Open Graded Series, well done Tomi!

Tuesday 4th August at the Worcester Open Meeting, M70 Chris Pruski throws a 22.33m for the Javelin and Chris Lloyd has a best of 10.88m in the Triple Jump and 1.67m in the High Jump, well done both!

Wednesday 5th August was the British Milers Club in Loughborough where Brychan Price Davies ran a 1.57.70 for 800m and U18W Millie Pierce ran a 4.36.56 for 1500m, well done both!

Wednesday 5th & Thursday 6th August it was awesome to see U20W Matilda Quick selected for Great Britain & Northern Ireland in the World U20 Athletics Championships in Oregon USA, where she was up against the very best Heptathletes in the World! Everyone is proud and thrilled for Matilda where over the two days she amassed 4612 points to place 22nd courtesy of a 14.39 100m Hurdles, 1.69m High Jump, 11.88m Shot, 26.11 200m, 3.57m Long Jump, 33.29m Javelin and a 2.33.34 800m. What an experience over the 2 days, with just a little wobble in the Long Jump but did the very sensible thing to ensure she got a jump in, to stay in the competition whilst performing excellently across the other six events. Congratulations Matilda on what now doubt will set her up for even bigger and better things to come. Click here for the full results.
