Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Swansea, Aberdare & Tywi Valley.

Thursday 13th August was the 5km On The Bay race at Swansea where in the Men’s race there was a fantastic win for U18M Zachary Beddows in 15.50 who was joined on the podium by U16B Oliver Cobbold 16.00 followed home by M40 Steven Taylor in 17.16 for 14th, 16th was M40 Craig Jones in 17.25 and 20th M35 Hywel Longman making our top 5 home. In the Women first home in 4th was W40 Luticia Thomas in19.20 followed home by 8th W35 Emma Joseph 19.55, 9th U18W Chloe Hartley-Green in 19.59, 11th U16G Gwenna Rees 20.17 and 25th W45 Llinos Jones 21.28 rounding off our top 5. Well done to all those who ran in extremely hot weather conditions!

Saturday 15th August was the South Wales Throws Open at Aberdare. Where Commonwealth Games team captain our very own Harrison Walsh was back in action winning the Discus with a best of 51.59m, U16B Roman Jackson threw 33.10m in the Discus too, Roman also threw 42.91m in the Hammer and U20M Ben Fenwick thre a best of 35.83m in the Hammer, well done all!

Sunday 16th August was the first ever Tywi Valley Half Marathon Starting and finishing at Ysgol Bro Dinefwr in Ffairfach and the half way turn around point in Llanarthne. First home for the club was M40 Daniel Gurmin in 6th with a time of 1.19.23, followed by 135th M40 Craig Jones 1.48.20. well done both!
