Results Round Up
Plenty of results to round up this week for you from Glasgow, Cardiff, Uppsala Sweden, Newport & Margam Park.
Saturday 5th February saw a Wales team entered in the new Dynamic International in Glasgow, Scotland V England V Ireland, Scotland V Spain V Portugal. SW Caryl Granville was our sole competitor placing 5th in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.46, well done Caryl on another international vest!
The weekend of Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th February saw the Welsh Indoor Athletics Championships for the U13, U17 & U20 age categories at Cardiff. It was great to see our juniors gaining invaluable competition experience, many of whom came away with medals as well as personal bests, congratulations to them all!

Sunday 6th February was the Lliswery 8 Mile road race at Newport where the club had two finishers, having a superb run for 2nd was SM Jonathan Butler finishing in a time of 40.50 followed home by 16th SM Jack Turner in a time of 44.59, well done both!
Sunday 6th February U17W Hannah Kinane runs 4.43.11 over 1500m in Uppsala Sweden, well done Hannah!
Sunday 6th February was round 3 of 5 in the Seniors West Glamorgan Cross Country League held at Margam Park over a significantly longer more challenging multi terrain route than the schools event the previous week, the club was well represented once again with 24 of our seniors in action.
In the mens race we took the first two places with a superb win for Guy Smith followed by Marc Hobbs in 2nd just 5 seconds behind, completing the line up were 4th Finley Hines; 18th John Moran; 21st Andrew Cleverley; 25th Patrick Tudor; 50th Owen Davies; 53rd Tom Bacon; 61st Mike Gleeson; 68th Paul Llewellyn; 69th Gabrielius Stuokus; 71st Simon Coombes; 87th Rabab Rabab; 106th Rob Falconer; 126th Mark Davies; 142nd Christopher Jones; 149th Luke Davies and 193rd Uku Kumari. In the womens race first home having a strong run for 4th was Helen-Marie Davies followed by 10th Lois Woodward; 22nd Sasha Petrie; 45th Penny Kennedy and 53rd Nina Brocklebank. Well done to them all, league tables for team and individuals will be updated in due course here.
