Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Pembrey, Wrexham, Llanelli, Aberdare & Bristol, and thank you to Paul Stillman photography for allowing us use of his images from Pembrey.
Saturday 24th September was the Welsh Road Relay Championships at Pembrey Country Park, where the club maintained its rich history of success winning both the Senior Mens and Womens 4 stage relays as well as many other team medals! At Pembrey highlights in each race were as follows:
Race 1 U11B Griff Jones was our sole competitor finishing 7th.
Race 2 U11G no runners.
Race 3 U13B no runners.
Race 4 U13G 4 x 1900m saw team SILVER for Taylor Shelmerdine, Georgie-Bo Davies, Ella Drew & Hannah Hartley-Green, with Taylor setting the 3rd fastest time across all clubs of 6.35!
Race 5 U15B 3 x 3200m placed 12th with the trio of Deri Jones, Jack Sullivan & Samuel White.
Race 6 U15G 3 x 3200m saw team GOLD for the trio of Libby Hale, Millie Pierce & Ava Davies with Libby setting the 2nd fastest time across all clubs of 10.25!
Race 7 U17M 3 x 3200m saw our A team finish 7th with the trio of Morgan Willis, Steffan Higgins & Joshua Pritchard.
Race 8 U17W 3 x 3200m no team.
Race 9 SM 4 x 5400m was a team GOLD for our A team quartet of Marc Hobbs, Daniel Rothwell, Dewi Griffiths & Jonathan Butler! With Dewi setting the fastest time across all clubs of 16.36!
Race 10 SW 4 x 5400m saw another team GOLD for Sioned Howells, Kate Roberts, Ella Davies & Sophia Harrison!
Race 11 MM35-44 no team.
Race 12 MW35-44 3 x 5400m team BRONZE for Llinos Jones, Lois Woodward & Julie Hartley-Green with Llinos setting the 3rd fastest time across all clubs of 21.55!
Race 13 MM45-54 3 x 5400m were 5th with the trio of Owen Davies, Jason Price & Simon Eastwood.
Race 14 MW45-54 3 x 5400m team GOLD for Helen-Marie Davies, Rachel Allcock & Diane Brownhill! With Helen setting the fastest time of 23.25 and Diane 3rd fastest time of 24.18 across all clubs!
Race 15 MM 55-64 3 x 5400m team SILVER for the trio of Ifan Lloyd, Paul Flynn & Paul Llewellyn! With Ifan setting the 2nd fastest time across all clubs of 20.06!
Race 16 MW55-64 no runners.

Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th September was the Final Fling Throws Meeting in Wrexham where U17M Lewie Jones was our sole competitor winning the Javelin on the Saturday with a best of 56.02m, well done Lewie!
Sunday 25th September was the Llanelli Half Marathon where in the Mens race Sam Joseph had a great run to finish 3rd in 75.43 followed home by 18th Thomas Morris 85.36; 28th Mike Gleeson 87.46; 34th Paul Flynn 88.44 and 140th Robin D’Arcy 1.47.12.
In the Womens race Emma Baxter went one better than Sam having a superb run too for 2nd in a time of 88.25 followed by Lutica Thomas also stepping onto the podium in 3rd in 89.20 and 36th Kelly Gipson 1.48.49.
Sunday 25th September was the Cardiff throws open in Aberdare, where U17W Lucy Harris threw 36.91m in the Discus; U17M Ben Fenwick 33.95m Hammer; SW Zoe Dakin 41.14m Hammer and Rebekah Pratt 37.59m also in the Hammer, well done everyone!
Sunday 25th September Matthew Rees had another great run to finish 3rd in the Bristol 10km in a time of 32.14, well done Matthew!
