Results Round Up
This week we have plenty of results to round up for you from Pembrey x 2, Lee Valley London, Ulsteinnvik NORWAY, Glasgow, Boston USA, Cardiff, Trelewis Park & Margam Park
Sunday 29th January was round 2 of the rescheduled West Glamorgan Cross Country League held in Pembrey Country Park, we are awaiting the individual results to be submitted to the power of 10 results website, therefore we will round these up next week hopefully along with the league tables.
Wednesday 1st February at Lee Valley, London SM Femi Akinbobola runs 7.22 for 60m at 23.21 for 200m, SW Gwennan Lewis throws a 10.19m Shot and SW Carys Poole a 9.16m Shot, well done everyone!
Thursday 2nd February SM Joseph Brier runs 47.19 over 400m indoors at Ulsteinvik, NORWAY in the same race as 400m Hurdles world record holder Karsten Warholm, amazing stuff Joe!
Saturday 4th February SW Hannah Brier runs a fast 23.69 200m indoors in the Emerites Arena, Glasgow, well done Hannah!
Saturday 4th February SM Steffan Jones runs 48.77 over 400m in Boston, USA, well done Steffan!
Saturday 4th February was the British Universities cross country championships held at Pembrey Country Park, in what was a great atmosphere we have spotted amongst the finishers the following Swansea Harriers representing their university teams:
Mens 8.3K short course: 176th Iwan White &194th Joshua Morgan. Womens 8.3K long course: 42nd Sophia Harrisson. Mens 10.5K long course: 74th Luca Cortellese. Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th February was the Welsh Athletics U13, U17 & U20 Indoor Championships held at Cardiff. Plenty of our juniors were in action gaining invaluable championships competition experience, a few also came home with some medals:
9 GOLD: U17W Matilda Quick 11.85m Shot; U17W Bethan Holley 10.22m Triple Jump; U20W Ella Davies 2.21.43 800m; U13G Olivia Kenna 1.20m High Jump; U20M Samuel Davies 1.97m High Jump; U13G Rutendo Chasweka 4.25m Long Jump; U17M Charlie Shuall 3.62m Pole Vault; U17W Amy Beynon 2.92m Pole Vault and U13B Jack Jones 12.67 60m Hurdles.
10 SILVER: U13G Luisa Rabaiotti 1.15m High Jump; U17M Joshua Morgan 11.12.40 3000m; U17W Bethan Holley 5.01m Long Jump; U17M Oliver Philpott 3.32m Pole Vault; U17W Seren Anderson-James 2.52m Pole Vault; U20W Rebekah Pratt 2.32m Pole Vault; U20M Evan Cole 8.68 60m Hurdles; U17M Nathaniel Osborne 12.91m Shot; U13G Rutendo Chasweka 10.27 60m Hurdles and U20W Megan Gwyther 9.29 60m Hurdles.
4 BRONZE: U17W Matilda Quick 1.62m High Jump; U20M Evan Cole 6.19m Long Jump; Louis Shuall 3.22m Pole Vault and U17W Ava Davies 5.00.59 1500m.

Sunday 5th February in the Reverse 10 mile road race at Trelewis SW Sioned Howells had a fantastic run to win in a time of 59.48 and and SW Sharon Leech was 6th in 1.10.15, well done both!
Sunday 5th February was round 3 of 5 in the West Glamorgan Cross Country League for our senior and masters endurance runners. We are awaiting individual and team results, when they are available they individual results will appear on this link.
