Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from London x2, Loughborough & Swansea

Saturday 22nd April saw U15G Holly Humphreys selected for Wales in the London Mini Marathon where she had a great run to finish 57th in 9.37 against the very best runners in the UK from Scotland, Northern Ireland and England, well done Holly and very many congratulations on your Welsh Vest!

Saturday 22nd April SM Ben Paris runs 11.33 for 100m in Loughborough, well done Ben!

Sunday 23rd April saw us host the annual Swansea Harriers open meeting. First and foremost our thanks and gratitude to the vast team of volunteers who made themselves available to organise this big event, before, during and after the day, your assistance was much appreciated. There were far too many great results to list them all, very well done to all those who took part getting their seasons off to a great start with plenty of personal bests recorded too, regardless of where they placed, instead in summary our top performers in each age group and event were:

SM: Eli Onyewu (11.19) 100m; Ieuan Hosgood (4.30m) Pole Vault and Peter Roberts (37.33m) Discus.

Sunday 23rd April was the London Marathon where we think we had about 17 finishers where highlights included both Dewi & Emily winning the Welsh Marathon Championships which were incorporated into the race!

Women: where we had three finishers, having a superb run for 32nd was Emily Marchant 2.47.09 & 1st Welshwoman! Emily was followed home by 847th Sharon Leech 3.19.03 and 5887th Julie Hartley-Green 4.08.55. Men: our top five home were 19th Dewi Griffiths & 1st Welshman! having another one of his brilliant runs in 2.16.51 followed home by; 113th Matthew Rees 2.29.11; 210th Geraint Williams 2.32.53; 825th Simon Lewis 2.43.14 and Simon Brewer 2.52.33.
