Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Lee Valley, Cambridge, Birmingham, Neath, Snowdonia, Caerphilly and Carmarthen:

Sunday 7th May saw SM Danylo Danylenko runs a quick 21.63 for 200m in Lee Valley, London, well done Danylo!

Sunday 7th May SM Ryan Price jumps out to 12.42m for the Triple Jump and 1.55m in the High Jump in Cambridge, well done Ryan!

Wednesday 10th May U20M Dafydd Jones runs an 8.16.77 for 3000m at Birmingham, well done Dafydd!

Thursday 11th May was the U15 U17 & U20 Afan Nedd Tawe Schools & Colleges Track & Field Championships at Neath where we had plenty of our juniors representing their school teams. Congratulations to all those who took part and to U15G Libby Hale who broke two championship records, 1500m 4.48.0 and 300m 42.4. Friday 13th May SM Kristian Jones had a fantastic run to win the 25km Eryri Mountain race in Snowdonia, well done Kristian who is progressing towards the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships (45 km) in Innsbruck-Stubai next month where he will be representing the Great Britain & Northern Ireland team again!!

Sunday 14th May was the Caerphilly 10km incorporating the Welsh Championships where in the Mens race it was a fantastic result where we came away with both GOLD & SILVER, Dewi Griffiths retained his title with a 30.23 and Jonathan Butler a 30.40, they were followed home by 10th Matthew Rees 33.02; 26th Sam Joseph 35.28 and 46th Daniel Morgan 37.20 making our top 5 Men.

In the Womens race first home for the club was Hannah Williams having a great run for 6th 37.34, followed home by 8th Emma Baxter 38.45 and 32nd Millie Thorne 43.26!

Sunday 14th May was the West Wales Track & Field Championships at Carmarthen where we had well over 100 of our members in action! There were lots and lots of medals won, season and personal bests set! Very well done to all those who took part, especially to our championship record breakers: U15G Libby Hale 10.01.58 3000m which was also a club record!!; U17W Matilda Quick 1.62m High Jump & U17M Lewie Jones 57.95m Javelin!
