Don’t miss the closing date for the Welsh U14 U16 & U18 Combined Events Championships

The joint Welsh Schools & Welsh Athletics Combined Events with U14 Quadrathlons and U16 & U18 Pentathlons are at Carmarthen on Saturday 19th September. This fixture is also a qualifying fixture for the U16 & U18 in the schools indoor international held at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow on Saturday 14th November.
The championships will be held over the slightly different age groups of calendar years rather than academic years, as Scottish Schools host the international under World Athletics age groups. Therefore, age groups and events will be:
• U18 = athletes born in 2009 & 2010.
• U16 = athletes born in 2011 & 2012.
• U14 = athletes born in 2013 & 2014.
• U18 & U16 Boys Pentathlons are Sprint Hurdles, 200m, Shot, Long Jump & 800m
• U18 & U16 Girls Pentathlons are Sprint Hurdles, High Jump, Shot, Long Jump & 800m
• U14 Boys & Girls Quadrathlons are Sprint Hurdles, Long Jump, Shot & 800m.
There is an entry limit of 32 athletes in each age group and gender if entries are filled before the closing date of Thursday 10th September.
