Don’t miss the closing date for the West Wales Indoor Championships at Swansea

The 2024 West Wales Indoor Athletics Championships will take place at Swansea University Indoor Athletics Track over two days, Saturday 13th January for 60m, 60m Hurdles & Shot and Saturday 20th January for High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump & Pole Vault. This is a closed championship for West Wales eligible athletes only (held under UKA rules).

  • CLOSING DATE for Day 1: 11:59PM on Monday 8th January.
  • CLOSING DATE for Day 2: 11:59PM on Monday 15th January.
  • No entries on the day.
  • Entries £5 per event.
  • Athletes can enter a maximum of 3 events per day.
  • Medals will be presented to the top three in each age group & gender in all event disciplines.
  • No guest athletes will be permitted. Please read the eligibility below.

ELIGIBILITY:

To participate in the West Wales championships all athletes must be registered to their club & Welsh Athletics, in addition must have one of the following qualifications:

A: – BIRTH; the athlete having been born in West Wales (Dyfed or West Glamorgan).

B: – RESIDENCE; a minimum of 9 months continuous residence in West Wales immediately prior to this event.

Age Groups and Events

  • U11 Boys & Girls = School Years 4 & 5 (60m, Long Jump, Shot)
  • U13 Boys & Girls = School Years 6 & 7 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot)
  • U15 Boys & Girls = School Years 8 & 9 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot)
  • U17 Men & Women = School Years 10 & 11 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot)
  • U20 Men & Women = School Years 12 & 13 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot)
  • Senior Men & Women (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot)
