Expression of Interest – Welsh Castles Relay 2026 (6–7 June)

Swansea Harriers will be entering a team into the 2026 Welsh Castles Relay, held over the weekend of 6–7 June. This is a demanding and iconic two day event across Wales. The race requires 20 runners, but we are permitted to name a squad of up to 40 athletes to allow for late changes, injuries and unforeseen withdrawals. If selected for the squad, please be aware that you may be called up at short notice.

Important:
The Welsh Castles Relay takes place on the same weekend as the Swansea Half Marathon. Please only submit an expression of interest if you are not planning to race the Swansea Half.

The club has covered the race entry fee, and we will be competing in the Open category with the intention of being competitive. As a general guideline, athletes should be capable of running approximately 10 miles in around 60 minutes or faster.

Travel & Accommodation:
Accommodation and travel for this event are not covered by the club. The team manager will make every effort to arrange suitable accommodation for competitors, particularly those with early starts on Saturday and Sunday. Support will also be provided to help ensure that any vehicles used by athletes are transported to the finish locations where needed.
