Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Tetbury, Skiddaw Cumbria, Oordegem Belgium, Bury St Edmonds, Cardiff, Swindon, Gloucester, Milton Keynes and Oxford.

Back on Friday 3rd April Bronwen Stratton-Thomas runs a 40.50 for 10km and Alex John 37.14, in Tetbury, well done both!

Friday 1st May Kristian Jones at Skiddaw Cumbria places 5th in the 8.6km with 945m of elevation British Athletics Uphill Trail Race, in a time of 44.27, congratulations Kris!

Friday 1st May Joseph Brier at Oordegem, Belgium wins his 400m race in another fast time of 46.32, well done Joseph!

Saturday 2nd May U16G Isabelle Lawley at Bury St Edmunds placed 5th in the Steeplechase with a 5.29.30, well done Isabelle!

Saturday 2nd May until Monday 4th May were the British Universities Championships at Cardiff, where the club was well represented across various University teams. U23W Lucy Harris got the weekend off to the perfect start winning the Discus GOLD in a lifetime best of 45.95m, our second medal of the weekend cam from Dafydd Jones taking SILVER in the 5000m with a 13.56.59 and our third medal from Samuel Davies with a 2.03m for BRONZE, congratulations both! Others we could find were, Gwennan Lewis who was 9th in the Discus with 34.37m and placed 7th in her Shot pool with 10.28m, Jenson Morris ran a 22.72 for his 200m heat, Marek Warzocha was 4th in his 100m heat in 11.26, William Hawker ran 11.07 in his 100m Heat, Freddie Steele took the win in 10.93 for his 100m eventually placing 4th in the Semi Final with 11.02 his 200m heat saw him place 3rd in 22.65, and Eniola Adeotun was 2nd in his 100m heat with 10.72 and 3rd in his semi final with 10.91. Both our Womens Triple Jumpers set personal bests in their qualifying pools Lauren Hill 12.16m for 4th and Bethan Holley 10.81m for 10th. Joseph Beresford ran 59.02 for 5th in his 400m Hurdles heat. Evie Aitchison runs 66.40 in her 400m Hurdles heat. Evan Cole just missed out by one place from qualifying for the 110m Hurdles final with 15.54 and Rebekah Pratt was 8th in her Shot pool with 9.81m & 15th in the Pole Vault with 2.54m. Well done everyone!

Sunday 3rd May our U14 & U16 Youth Development League team got their season underway in round 1 of 3 at Swindon, where they replicated our U18 & U20 team by placing the highest Welsh team on the day in 4th! Very well done to the entire squad, the team managers, coaches and officials who supported them. Individual highlights included top 3 placings in the A string and wins in the B string from:

Monday 4th May SM Harrison Walsh takes the win in the Discus at Gloucester, with a seasons best of 52.58m strengthening his cause to be selected for Wales in the Commonwealth Games in the Para F44 Category, well done Harrison!

Monday 4th May at the Milton Keynes Marathon Steven Taylor runs 3.05.27 for 169th and Rabab Rabab runs a 3.27.12 for 482nd well done both!

Monday 4th May at Oxford in the Roger Bannister track mile races where in their seeded races U14B Tomi Jones ran a 4.56.79 for 5th and SW Darcie Bass took the win in the B race with 4.50.77, well done both!
