Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Swansea, Aberdare, Bangor, Swindon, Belfast, Caerphilly, and Carmarthen.

Wednesday 6th May was the Afan Nedd Tawe Secondary Schools & Colleges U14 U16 U18 & U20 Championships at Swansea. With several hundred pupils participating it was great to see many Swansea Harriers amongst them all. Click here for the provisional individual results and team scores. Congratulations to all those event winners in the U14 U16 & U18 categories that will now progress to the Welsh Schools Finals on Saturday 4th July at Aberdare.

Saturday 9th May was the South & East Wales Regional Championships at Aberdare where we had some Swansea Harriers in action. SW Zoe Dakin threw 44.23m to win GOLD in the Hammer, SM Taylor Proberts won Hammer GOLD too with a best of 33.87m, our third Hammer GOLD came in the U16B from Roman Jackson with 40.96m, U18W Olivia Morgan won 400m SILVER with 61.94 and U16G Isabelle Lawley won 1500m Steeplechase GOLD with a time of 5.23.32

Saturday 9th May Jacob Edghill won the Long Jump at the North Wales Championships at Bangor with a best leap of 6.47m, well done Jacob!

Saturday 9th May Stefani Karekla won GOLD in the 100m Hurdles with 15.57  & BRONZE in the 100m with 12,90 and  Rebekah Pratt competed in six events at the Wiltshire County Championships in Swindon recording a 14.24 100m, 2.60m Pole Vault, 4.21m Long Jump, 38.66m Hammer, 28.08m Javelin and 11.05m Shot, winning medals in every event, congratulations both!

Saturday 9th May was the Belfast Classic Open Meeting where Hannah Brier won the 100m A Race in 11.54 and Joseph Brier was 3rd in the 400m with 46.46, well done both!

Sunday 10th May was the Caerphilly 10km where it was a one two on the podium for Swansea Harriers in the Men’s race with Dewi Griffiths taking the win in 30.04 and Jonathan Butler in 2nd with a 30.19, following them home were 68th Daniel Morgan 37.53 and having a great run for 7th in the Womens race Megan Williams in 37.49, well done everyone!

Sunday 10th May was the West Wales U12 U14 U16 U18 U20 & Senior Regional Championships at Carmarthen. With almost 170, yes 170 entries from the club it’s impossible to mention them all, but special congratulations to our event winners who were:
