Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Exeter, California USA, Yate, Swansea, Manchester & Swindon.
Saturday 23rd March was the South West England Athletics Academy University Open at Exeter, where representing their university teams were Jacob Wilkinson running 11.8 100m & 23.4 200m; Niamh Jones 29.7 200m; Stefani Karekla 65.1 400m & 16.4 400m Hurdles; Luca Cortellese 4.05.9 1500m; Bronwen Startton-Thomas had a great win in the 1500m in 4.58.3; Georgina Annett 5.15.4 1500m; Sophia Harrison 18.51.3 5000m & 1.00m High Jump and our second win came from Charlotte Campion with a 4.80m Long Jump, well done all on such a great set of results!
Friday 1st April SM Jonathan Hopkins came with a second of hitting the Commonwealth Games 3000m Steeplechase qualifying time with a run of 3.34.78, in Stanford, California USA his fastest time since 2018, well done Jonathan we are sure you’ll get it soon!
Sunday 3rd April was our very own Swansea Harriers open meeting, firstly our sincere thanks to all the volunteers who made the event happen, there is an incredible amount of hard work that goes on unseen in preparation as well as delivering the events on the day, from our meeting manager, officials, cafe team and club trustees, it is much appreciated! Secondly congratulations to the 380 athletes that took part, ironically it was a bit cold, unlike for the cross country the week before which was boiling hot! Click here for the full results. With almost 200 entries from the club, which was an amazing turnout, it would be a very long article to mention them all, therefore highlights for our members included our overall top performer in each event as follows:

U11G: Tochi Emenogu 12.31 75m; Paige Williams 2.55m Long Jump and Lucy Evans 3.12.88 800m.
U13B: Sean Strevens 1.40m High Jump & 3.99m Long Jump; Kellan Heuberger 1.90m Pole Vault; Woody Jelf 16.50 75m Hurdles; Roman Jackson 5.51m Shot & 12.66m Discus; Arwel Richards 15.45 100m and Daniel Board 2.34.40 800m.
