As the club committee are busy finalising and submitting our nominations for the Welsh Athletics annual awards, for all our other members, we have a task for you too. There is a new category this year open to a public vote for the “Performance Of The Year” we are pleased to see that two Swansea Harriers have been shortlisted who are:

Joseph Brier for his Silver medal over 400m in the British Indoor Championships and Joshua Griffiths for his British Marathon Championships Bronze medal. The club are very lucky to have both of them as top class athletes, that are fantastic role models for all our juniors. So hurry up and click here to make your vote for them please.

The Club Juniors Gold Awards 2020:

These are awarded to first claim club members in the U13 to U20 age groups who perform to an exceptional level, achieving performances mid way between a grade 1 and 2 AAA standard which equates to being ranked around the top 10% in the U.K. Full details of performance standards on the awards poster here Gold standards 2019 2020 (2) (1). When we hold our 2021 club annual awards evening the awardees from both 2019 and 2020 will be presented with their trophies. No date has been set as yet.

Eligible fixtures: Full details are included on the awards poster above but in general these are league and championship fixtures for the U13-U20 age groups, no senior matches are eligible. This year as no outdoor eligible fixtures went ahead it has been decided that all outdoor performances (Apr-Sept) which are recorded on Power of 10 will be eligible for this season only, all indoor matches are as per awards poster.
