Sunday 12th October saw round 1 of the cross country league at Newbridge Fields, Bridgend incorporating the West Wales Regional Championships. There were some great performances with a good number of entries in some but not all age groups from the club.

The Swansea Harriers satellite club at LC2 Swansea has been going strong for almost 3 years working in partnership with the club. The session provides the perfect athletics foundation in running, jumping and throwing activities for school children in school years 3 & 4, before they progress to join the club in school year 5.

Entry spaces are filling up fast for the TATA sponsored Richard Burton 10K Road Race on Sunday 2nd November, which is one of the UK's most prestigious road races and year after year attracts some of the top UK running club athletes. The Cwmafan based Race, held in memory of the late great Richard Burton.

LONDON MARATHON 2015 club ballot; Swansea Harriers are now happy to take names for this. The club will be allocated 3 club places for the 2015 race, although this will be confirmed in November. If you want to go in the club ballot, please let Eamonn Kirk know via text on 077 51 03 39 77 by no later than Friday November 14th. Eligibility criteria is outlined below:

The club is looking for more volunteers to attend the following courses to help the club cater for the influx of junior members for coaching and in preparation to help us fulfil our officiating duties for next summer’s home and away track and field fixtures.

Monday 6th October saw event 1 of 3 development cross country events for secondary schools and colleges at Elba, Gowerton. Over 230 athletes participated in 6 races. There were some fine performances over the fast and flat course with Swansea Harriers athletes representing their school teams gaining top 3 placings;

Sunday 28th September In round 1 of 5 in the West Glamorgan Cross Country League at Llanmadoc North Gower, in very hot conditions it was great to see so many Swansea Harriers in action.
