8th & 9th August League Fixtures

The weekend of Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August is busy one for our U17, U20 & Senior athletes with 3 key fixtures;

Results Round Up From Swansea & Newport

Wednesday 22nd July saw the third and final match of the U11 & U13 Triangular series V Llanelli V Neath at home in Swansea. The evening proved to be very successful with 110 entries where in a great evening athletics Swansea Harriers retained their title for the 5th consecutive year.

Sunday 02.08.15 Round 4 of 4 Welsh U11, U13 & U15 League @ Swansea

Sunday 2nd August sees the 4th and final round of the Welsh U11, U13 & U15 League at home in Swansea V Pembrokeshire V Neath V Llanelli V Carmarthen V Bridgend V Brecon V Pontyclun V Barry & Vale. The team are currently placed top of the league and will be hoping for a big turnout at the home match where they will endeavor to to retain their title as West league champions and in addition progress to the Welsh League Grand Final later in August at Brecon.

Wednesday 15th July saw the annual Dyfed V West Glamorgan Primary Schools Inter County match held at Carmarthen, and it proved to be a good win for the West Glamorgan team which included a few members of Swansea Harriers.

Hannah Brier Is On Fire!

It was fantastic to see Hannah Brier selected in the 100m for the Great Britain & Northern Ireland team to compete in the World Youth U18 Championships in Cali, COLUMBIA. In the ealry hours of this morning Hannah was 6th in the final against the best U18 sprinters in the world in an amazing time of (11.66).

In another very busy week chocablock of competitions there are lots of results to catch up on with our athlete and volunteer resources spread far and wide over 9 fixtures in the space of just a few days, our sincerest thanks goes to all the athletes, team mangers, officials and coaches for your support.


Saturday 18th July U13 & U15 Youth Development League Match 4 of 4 @ Swansea

Saturday 18th July sees a vitally important league match at home in the U13 & U15 Youth Development League. Swansea sit 2nd in the league on 16 league points and 1676 match points; Cardiff sit in 1st place on 17 league points and  1654.6 match points whichever team finishes ahead will go to the British final, so you better make sure you make yourself available if selected by your team manager please, so no pressure then!
