Sunday 23rd August was the Welsh U11, U13 & U15 League Final at Newport, where unfortunately despite their best endeavors the team placed 3rd losing their Welsh League title.

With the track & field season almost at an end, we then move onto the cross country season including some road fixtures as well as the usual mix of league, championship and schools cross country fixtures. As and when meeting dates and details become available they will be published in the Annual Club Fixtures section of this website, some of which have been added already.

The weekend of Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August were the Welsh U15 & U20 Championships at Newport where the club had a pretty thin on the ground number of entries participating from its members however there were plenty of medal winning performances amongst them, very many congratulations to all those who participated especially our medal winners:

Saturday 1st August saw eight Swansea Harriers selected and compete for Wales in the U16 & U18 Celtic Games at Grangemouth in Scotland V Athletics Ireland V Scotland V Scotland Futures.

Entry Level Coaching & Officials Education Certifciates & Qualifications @ Swansea

Your clubs volunteer, coaches, officials, team managers and committee give a lot of their time to provide the opportunities at the club, they could always do with more help and this is another chance to get involved. During the schools Autumn term there are are series of entry level coach and officials certificate and qualification courses being held at the university indoor track outlined in the table below. These are open to new volunteers from any club not just Swansea.

Wednesday 22nd July saw the third and final match of the U11 & U13 Triangular series V Llanelli V Neath at home in Swansea. The evening proved to be very successful with 110 entries where in a great evening athletics Swansea Harriers retained their title for the 5th consecutive year.
